6. Library

To use XELF authoring tool’s image, audio, and vector object, you need to know about the XELF library. Users can upload images or audio files directly to the XELF library given to their account. You can also use the images, audio, and vector images provided by XELF.

6-1. Image library

Image library is a space for using image objects. There are my images that you upload and use, and the basic images that XELF provides.

1) My image

My image is the space where users can upload images themselves to create their own image library. You can upload images by clicking the Upload button, and you can also create folders to manage images. When you click the View information icon, detailed information of the image is displayed and you can enter and manage the description, tag and copyright information.

2) Basic image

In the basic image, you can see the image provided by XELF. You can select the image provided by XELF and apply it directly to your authoring tool. Categories and tags make it easy for you to search for images and find them quickly. The images provided are CC0 images without copyright issues and can be used for personal/commercial use.

6-2. Image editor

With XELF’s Image editor, you can edit the image in the authoring tool. You can open the Image editor by clicking the Edit Image button in the Library or by clicking the Edit image button in the Image Property panel. The Image editor provides adjustment, filter, crop, rotate, and mask functions.

1) Adjustment

You can adjust the image brightness, saturation, contrast, noise, gradient, and mosaic values.

2) Filter

You can use the seven filters provided by the Image editor to effect a filter on the image with just a click. Grayscale, Invert, Sepia, Sepia2, Blur, Sharpen, and Emboss filters are supported and it can be applied in duplicate.

3) Crop

You can crop an image by specifying a crop region. You can adjust the height and width of the crop region with the mouse and see the number. After setting up the crop region, click the OK button to crop the image.

4) Rotate

You can rotate the image to the desired angle. You can move the slider or rotate the image by directly entering number or by clicking the button to rotate the image 90 degrees. You can also click the Invert button to simply invert the image to the up, down, left and right side.

5) Mask

You can give mask effects on the image in the form of square, square round, triangle, and circle. The mask effect is a feature that covers other parts except the selected mask shape. Select the desired mask shape, place it on the image, and click the OK button to apply the effect.

The edited content in the Image editor only applies when you click the Save and Close button, and the edited image is saved in my folder.

6-3. Vector library

Vector library is the space where the vector image provided by XELF is uploaded. The vector library includes more than 1000 material design icons from Google and over 200 icons created by XELF, which users can freely use. However, the Vector library does not support users to upload and use their vector images.

6-4. Audio library

Audio Library is a space where you upload your own audio files to create your own audio library. You can click the Upload button to upload the audio file and play it in advance.

5 Play/Pause Play/pause the selected audio.

8 Insert into page Insert the selected audio into the page.

Insert as background music is a feature that applies an audio object throughout a project. Only one background music can be applied to a project. In contrast, inserting into a page is a function that applies different audio objects to each page, and you can apply multiple objects.
